Tuff Shed Inc is one of the biggest manufacturers/installers of garages and storage buildings in the US. Its history could be brought back to 1981, the time when it was put up by Tom Saurey. You may not believe it, but the entity was formed with one single pick-up truck. In 2002, a collaboration with Home Depot resulted in an exclusive line, called the Sundance series and Keystone. It was the start of a magnificent boom for this firm.

How were the Tuff Sheds advertised?

Among the other products, the company has been noted for its novel and funny adverts on TV. Its adverts show some kind of vehicle doing a hazardous stunt on a building, but causing no dent on the building, proving the strength of the structure. Exaggerated it may be, but it raked in significant revenues for the company.

Different factors to consider before buying Tuff Sheds

The function is the primary factor when buying a Tuff Shed. What exactly is the purpose in buying a Tuff shed? It could be for storage, as a stable for the horses, or any other aim. If you correctly determine the main function, you would be able to get rid of some styles not suited to the function. Like, if it is for the storage of your mowers, then think of Tuff sheds that have double doors and not stairs. Consider also a ventilated one if you would be storing some gasoline in there.

The building materials of Tuff Sheds

Tuff Sheds may be pre-fabricated, but if you opt for a kit, then you might want to buy other materials so that you could customize them. Take note though, the customization would only go up to a point, as opposed to a totally DIY project. (If it is the latter, that means you have your own plan, you buy all your materials, and you would let all your creativity be used.) Ordinary siding materials include rocks, vinyl or wood. Cedar is a good wood for a storage shed since it is durable and generally rot-resistant.

If your experience with carpentry work is virtually none, then you may not consider building a shed from scratch. Building a shed from scratch requires much time and money, which are important in today’s financially difficult times. There is no sin in being talentless in building sheds, that is why entities like Tuff exist. They have the kits that include prepared pieces. Just like the toy model helicopter you used to assemble when you were a kid, these articles would simply be assembled.

Tuff Sheds are among the most popular in the market, and you would be saving yourself a lot of work when you join the multitudes who have bought one of their units.
